The Peruvian Government appreciates the generous contribution made today by the "Temasek Foundation International", which consisted of 10,000 test kits "Fortitude Kit 2.1" for the detection of the Covid-19. The beneficiary of the said donation is the National Institute of Health (Instituto Nacional de Salud). The Fortitude tests have been implemented in public and private hospitals in Singapore since last February. The aforementioned contribution was possible thanks to the support of the Embassy of Peru in the Republic of Singapore, the Instituto Nacional de Salud, the Peruvian Agency for International Cooperation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru. Exhibition on Huamán Poma de Ayala was showcased in Singapore


On March 17, the Embassy of Peru in Singapore in collaboration with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts - NAFA, inaugurated “Camina el Autor”, an exhibition on the work of the Peruvian chronicler Huamán Poma de Ayala. The exhibition was showcased in the gallery “Lim Hak Tai” of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. This was a way to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations between Peru and Singapore. Exhibition - Camina el Autor


NAFA and the Embassy of Peru in Singapore present the extraordinary work of Peruvian chronicler Felipe Guaman Poma de Ayala (1534-1615) that explores the history of the indigenous people of Peru, Andean civilisation and the Spanish conquest seen through the eyes of an illustrator and historian. This touring exhibition comprises of 32 panels of images with accompanying texts reproduced from the original manuscript that was completed in 1615. Guaman Poma de Ayala himself wrote the text and drew the 398 illustrations by hand. These drawings are from his chronicle, The New Chronicle and Good Government, which represents an ambitious account of the whole Pre-Hispanic Andean history, the emergence of the Inca Empire and the impact of the Spanish conquest of Peru since 1532. The illustrations of this manuscripts constitute a big component of this masterpiece, which depicts the harsh conditions of living under the Spanish rule. This work is also known as one of the most distinctive and historically reliable sources of early Peruvian history and culture.
