• Pisco promotion workshop in Singapore

    On September 9, the Embassy of Peru in Singapore organized a pisco promotion workshop, in collaboration with the pisco exporting company Zijals (Pisco Delixir). The event was attended by representatives of wine and spirits distributors, hotels, bartenders, sommeliers and officials of the Association of Bartenders & Sommeliers Singapore. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from the Peruvian Chef Jaime Arbulú and Zijals representatives about the history of pisco, as well as the organoleptic properties of the Peruvian national drink. They could also learn how to prepare pisco sour, chilcano and other pisco-based cocktails.

  • Peruvian Food Festival "Flavours of Peru"

    The second edition of the "Flavors of Peru" food festival took place at the Mandarin Orchard Singapore hotel from 6 to 15 September 2019. The event was organized by the Embassy of Peru in Singapore and said hotel, in collaboration with the Commercial Office of Peru in Jakarta. The festival had the participation of the Peruvian Chef Jaime Arbulú and national musician Manuel Granados. During the event, more than 1,200 people had the opportunity to taste Peruvian cuisine and become familiar with the tourist and cultural richness of our country.   • Embassy of Peru Award - Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA)

    On 6 September 2019, the Ambassador of Peru, Mr. Carlos Vasquez participated in the “Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) Convocation Ceremony”. Ambassador Vasquez awarded the “Embassy of Peru – Tumi de Plata (Silver Tumi)” to Mr. David Zechariah Kwek, Bachelor of Music (Hons), who obtained the best qualifications during his years of studies in NAFA. Since 2006, the Embassy of Peru in Singapore awards the Tumi de Plata to the NAFA student who had a prominent performance during his years of studies.

    On August 5, a joint tourism promotion event was held between the Peruvian Embassy and the Chilean Embassy in Singapore. This activity was focused on the segment luxury tourism and was organized by the Latin American Chamber of Commerce, the tour operator specialized in Latin America, Quimbaya Tours and its Singaporean partner, Chan Brothers Prestige. The event took place in the residence of the Ambassador of Chile and had as assistants around 50 guests. The event included a ceviche preparation workshop conducted by the chef of this Mission, Mr. Marlon Chanjan and a wine tasting sponsored by the company “Concha y Toro”.
